There are certain albums that give you the feeling that they are trying their best to snuff your life out and push your life out of existence, and Stillborn’s new release Testimonio de Bautismo tries its very best to do exactly that. Testimonio de Bautismo  is hatred and pure visceral evil controlled. Each song on this record attacks you and they are relentless in their efforts to stab and hack and slash at your flesh until you are no more. Stillborn sears this album into your brain with a hot iron so you never forget the torment that you endured.

With a name such as Stillborn, you have to think that the music is going to be entirely punishing and destructive, and that would be right. You can’t be named Stillborn and play an odd brand of pop. What you do get when listening to this purely soul blistering release is some blackened death metal that takes no prisoners at all. If you just so happen to be a prisoner you won’t live long at all.

Testimonio de Bautismo  doesn’t go easy on you, and it never eases you into songs. You get thrust into a pit of bleeding chaos that is near impossible to climb out of. If you escape with just a few scratches that in itself is a feat to mention. As soon as the onslaught begins there is no escaping and the bludgeoning and bruising begins.

Stillborn hits you with everything they have and more as they leave nothing out and they use everything at their disposal to create as much harm and havoc as they possibly can for you. The blistering pace is jarring to say the least and the intensity and pure disregard for human life is incredibly suffocating. At times the music is dizzying due to the simple fact that it is played at mach five and never slows for a single minute.

The majority of the songs reach over the three and four minute mark which gives these blasphemers plenty of time to strip the skin from your bleached bones. Once you believe the pain and suffering is over you are fed to rabid wolves while Stillborn revels in the horror and the pain you are living.

These pillaging sickos smash your skull through your brain with diseased riffs, punishing and bludgeoning drums, chest bursting bass lines and shredding demonic vocals. No matter where Stillborn assaults you from you can’t defend yourself. The entire release melts flesh, sacrifices anything in its path and bleeds you dry. This is chaotic and makes you headbang without a doubt and makes you do so until you snap your neck. If you are up for skull grinding metal, don’t sleep on this.
