Taking gore and old school death metal and amplifying it all by eleven is Rotten Casket and from the grime and maggot infested crypts they bring with them their newest offering Emerged From Beyond. Their EP titled Consumed By Filth with six of the twelve songs that appear here on it was reviewed here not too long ago. Rotten Casket brings a style of death metal to the table that is corrosive and infected with night crawlers and many other creatures of the crypts. Each song exudes death and chomps down on your brain until none of your mushy pink noodle is left.

Emerged From Beyond is death metal that has been rolled in filth and saturated in grime and rotting viscera and gore. Everything about this release is a disgusting display of death metal and Rotten Casket revels in the horror and the pain that they provide for you. With each second covered in pure filth, you yourself feel as though you have taken a bath in a pungent stench that you cannot wash off even if you strip your skin from your bones.

This is undeniable old school death metal played at its most  rotten. This record feels as though it was dug up from six feet below and only was unearthed to create havoc and spread putrid death among you and your fellow man. There is a certain mephitis that reaches your nostrils and raises the hair on the back of your neck. Each song provides you with a deadly and fetid whiff of death as you feel as though your innards are escaping the now leather like cocoon of your skin.

Rotten Casket lays it on thick from the very beginning and doesn’t let up for eleven more songs. Each song is eviscerating, purely rotten and pickled in a brine of putrid and rotting blood. You can’t outrun this deadly steamroller as it only has one thing on its brain and that is death. This entire twelve track album is skull grinding and pummels you six feet into your very own grave right after your bones are picked clean.

Each song is covered with thick buzzing riffs, heavy and throat slitting bass lines, acrobatic drumming and gut tearing and bile soaked vocals. With every gut ripping thing put together you get an album that is wholly terrifying and has the capacity to kill whomever it pleases. Emerged From Beyond is a rolling death machine and it will be damned if it just stops at just piling your body up and no one else’s. This is a solid bulldozing release, one that is sure to please any sadistic death-head.

Emerged From Beyond will be released through Underground Movement on June 27, 2016.
