Dripping with blood and driven with the desire to kill is Inquiring Blood and their newest release Morbid Creation. Inquiring Blood began in 2004 and put out their very first demo in 2005. Five years later they released their debut full length Born in a Grave and now in 2016 Inquiring Blood is following up that full length with their sophomore release Morbid Creation. This new record is filled with twelve songs that just about saw your head off throughout your listen. Each song is just as savage and down right bloody as the last and they just don’t stop. Inquiring Blood rolls out song after song like a death metal march towards your unfortunate end.
Right from the get go Inquiring Blood does their best to smash your face in with Japanese Knife Assassin, and from then on you get attacked from all sides from a deadly death dealer in Inquiring Blood. With no filler and fluff in between, Inquiring Blood supplies you with nothing but straight up and down brutalizing death metal. There isn’t any other element that Inquiring Blood mixes in to make you think that this could not be death metal. This record is pure death and it makes you feel as though you have been through the wringer more than just a couple of times.
Morbid Creation is a bulldozing and deadly record that doesn’t quit until you are six feet under, or even more shallow than that, it doesn’t seem to matter with these guys. Each song is a rumbling death machine that seems to revel in blood and horror. And the majority of these songs are a little lengthier so you become trapped in a vortex of stomping death for even longer, but even as brutalizing as this release is and can be, you keep coming back for the beating over and over again.
The musicianship on this release is tight as you get shredded and skewered by shredding riffs, thunderous bass lines, solid bone breaking drumming and vocals that are completely monstrous and deadly all on their own. The production on this record is clean but raw giving this record an extra dosage of raw flesh craving savagery. And no matter what you do, you can’t help but to headbang each minute that this record is playing. Morbid Creation is an intoxicating record that you can sink your teeth into as well as break your neck to.
Overall, Morbid Creation is a great death metal record that supplies you with more than your fair share of grimy, grizzly and completely deadly death metal. Inquiring Blood does not compromise on this record as everything that you hear is heavy and death riddled with absolutely no filler in between. Any fan of straight forward death metal should keep their eyes peeled for Morbid Creation.
Morbid Creation will be out December 16, 2016
