Discharging their sickening filth upon the fiendish masses is Ectoplasma and spewing forth with them from the bile filled depths is their upcoming sophomore full length titled Cavern of Foul Unbeings. After their debut record in 2016, Ectoplasma is back after honing their gore filled craft to present to you an even better record. From beginning to end of Cavern of Foul Unbeings, Ectoplasma provides you with ten original tracks of nothing but incredibly depraved and rotting death metal. This is a solid record through and through, and each track is as blood letting and bone removing as the last.

Ectoplasma sounds as though they have been spit up right from the nineties, and even though the old-school sound is one that is tried and true, Ectoplasma make it work for them in a way in which it still is fresh and exciting to listen to. Throughout listening to this release you never think to yourself that you are listening to just another old-school death metal record. Each track that Ectoplasma forces down your slit throat is well written and executed providing you for an incredibly entertaining and bowel spilling effort.

Cavern of Foul Unbeings is a completely rotten and disgusting record, one that spews forth plenty of vile blood and rat infested entrails until you are buried far beneath the vomit inducing human remnants. Each track on this release is demented and purely eviscerating, ripping you limb from limb remorselessly as they rumble along. As a whole, Cavern of Foul Unbeings is a vicious and very well crafted death machine that can’t possibly rack the body count up quick enough.

Through contorted blood curdling roars and flesh gouging riffs, Ectoplasma presents to you a bloody, barbaric and mangling record that infests itself beneath your skin. Each track is a neck breaking death metal anthem that you don’t have any choice but to nod your head and head bang to. Cavern of Foul Unbeings is a piece that upon playing it, a foul stench of ripe death fills your nostrils and visions of unfiltered fetid death dances around in your mind. This album has that feeling of pure, raw and disgusting death that is such a welcome feeling.

This is a very well put together record from front to back. With their sophomore release, this definitely isn’t a slump and instead it is an upgrade from the previous effort. Each track is a driving force of blood drenched death, and the cover of Unleashed’s track The Immortals is something else that is great to look forward to at the end of all of the mayhem. Cavern of Foul Unbeings is one hell of a death metal record, and one hell of a great listen.

Cavern of Foul Unbeings will be released through Memento Mori January 22, 2018
