Mother’s Tomb: Absent Not Dead

In great thrashing madness, sprinkled with death throughout, Mother’s Tomb offers up their upcoming release titled Absent Not Dead. Absent Not Dead treats you to four tracks including the intro, and each one is just as ripping and head banging as the last. Once the foreboding intro fades in to darkness, Mother’s Tomb kicks thing straight in to high gear as they provide you with one face melting track right after the next. Each of the three tracks that follow the intro are explosive and well executed offerings of thrashing madness that is coupled with elements of death metal to provide you with an incredibly neck twisting and entirely memorable listen.

Once you hit the first full track, Mother’s Tomb mashes the proverbial pedal through the floor never to relent or cease in their barreling assault that has you mashing you brain against your skull in no time. Absent Not Dead is an entirely whiplash inducing offering that won’t let you out of its death grips until your head is firmly twisted on backwards. Each track is a maelstrom of explosive metal that storms forth through your speakers aiming to melt your face and doing a damn good job of just that. Without so much as a reprieve, Mother’s Tomb marches forth from track to track offering up head banging, brain bruising metal.

With great musicianship, incredible gritty vocals and an overall solid and clean production, Absent Not Dead is an all around great release. Through and through you are provided with three excellent full tracks of thrashing madness with a little bit of death metal thrown in the mix for extra savagery. Each track is a well constructed, well executed and well written sonic slaughtering that will leave your face firmly peeled from your skull. You will keep coming back for more and more mayhem as this release is incredibly addictive and highly entertaining.

You cannot go wrong here with Absent Not Dead, as each cut within this EP is very solid and very well done making it to be a cohesive and comprehensive release that truly cannot be denied. This is the type of EP that you can truly call criminally short as you just want more and more leaving you reaching for the play button over and over again. Highly entertaining, addictive, volatile, and down right heavy, can you ask for more?
