Coming off of their massive debut full length Charnel Passages, Cruciamentum is back with Paradise Envenomed. This brand new release is a two track EP that includes the title track as well as a cover of Absu’s Descent To Acheron. After gifting us Charnel Passages, you can’t expect anything less than stellar death metal from these morgue suppliers and with their new track Paradise Envenomed that is exactly what you get.

This new six and a half minute track provides you with more of what you have come to know, love and expect from Cruciamentum. This track is calculated, well constructed and ultimately skull grinding. Right off the bat Cruciamentum greet you with blasting drums that are paired with blood thirsty riffs ready to chomp down on your flesh at any given moment. Cutting through the dense wall of death are the gritty gnashing vocals that switch between virulent gutturals and hair raising screams. Paradise Envenomed is a blasphemous, blasting and life threatening track that chips away at your skull from the very first note on. The combination of doom and death metal here creates a devilish, end of times sound that fills you with a sense of dread and foreboding death. This is a dark and twisting track that grabs you immediately keeping you captive until the onslaught has finally concluded. Paradise Envenomed is a monster of a song, one that is well executed and crafted only to provide you with some of the finest death metal.

Paradise Envenomed is a nice follow up to Charnel Passages and provides you with a small taste of what is hopefully more to come. Before you know it, you are reaching for the play button again and again. Paradise Envenomed is an addicting track, one that you don’t mind listening to over and over again. It is a solid, well rounded and damning track that catches your attention immediately and keeps you coming back for more death metal punishment.

You can find Paradise Envenomed on the Profound Lore Records Bandcamp!
